High School

Young Life

Traditional Young Life is what most people think about when it comes to Young Life. Traditional Young Life is our ministry to high school students at North Central High School. We have adult leaders who earn the respect and trust of high school students by showing up in their world. Our Young Life Leaders are there for students in the good times and the bad.

Events:

CLUB — A PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

What is it about Young Life club that makes it the best night of the week for thousands of kids every week? We like to think of it as a party with a purpose. It's controlled chaos that's almost impossible to describe, but kids know it when they see it. And before the party ends, we share a simple message about God's love for them. After all, that's what the celebration is all about.

Campaigners - a time to learn and grow

Campaigners (a name that points back to the early days when Young Life was referred to as "The Young Life Campaign") is a weekly meeting for kids who wish to learn more or grow in their faith through study, service and leadership. Young Life leaders also encourage these kids to celebrate their faith through participation in a local congregation.

Middle School

WyldLife

Middle school kids are at a different developmental stage than high schoolers and need different things, so we make a subtle delineation between the two by appropriately calling our work with early adolescents "WyldLife." We currently have ministry at Westlane and Eastwood Middle Schools.

WyldLife is unique because parents and adults usually play a more prominent role in middle school kids' lives than in those of high school kids.

Middle school kids are dependent on their parents or other adults for money, schedules, transportation, and more. If students are going to be involved, it's because these adults help make it happen.

Special Needs

Capernaum

We believe that all kids have value and worth, including our friends with special needs. Capernaum is our ministry that serves this segment of students. Young Life Capernaum leaders develop relationships with teenagers and young adults with disabilities where all are invited, celebrated and needed. Those who need assistance can and should participate fully in activities that build self-esteem and challenge their limits.

Volunteer Leaders

Volunteer Leaders

We could not do what we do without our adult volunteers. Leaders are college-aged, young adults and parents.

Please contact us if you would like more information about being a leader.

Adults

Committee

Committee is the foundation for Young Life in a local area. Oftentimes, new Young Life clubs start because of the interest and awareness created by the committee. We also welcome the involvement of adult Young Life alumni, whose enthusiasm about their Young Life experiences is valuable to a committee.

We meet regularly to plan events, support and encourage staff, and pray together.

Adults also contribute to the work of the ministry by helping with certain events like fundraisers, camp reunion parties and more.

Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about serving on committee or helping with special events.
